Although India dominated its three-match T20 series against Australia, the squad had to win the last match to seal the series. The lone match where the home team did dominate for a lot of the match was the first T20, which Australia won by 4 runs.

Australia had gotten of to a good start with Glenn Maxwell and Chris Lynn powering away in the middle overs when rain started and the innings was abandoned. India had a steep chase, but Shikhar Dhawan started well and was well accompanied but at
last hurdle the Aussies prevailed. India came back strongly in the second T20 but rain played its part again this time, the match had to be abandoned.

The third T20 was pretty much all India as it was able to chase down a par score. Virat Kohli returning to form was the highlight of the match.

There were some serious performances from both sides which will surely ring in the head of the selectors for both teams. Krunal Pandya took five wickets and Khaleel Ahmed added three more, giving India a strong bowling attack. For Australia, their Man of the Series was easily Adam Zampa, who took three wickets and held a 5.5 economy against a formidable Indian line-up.

Overall, India will feel pretty disheartened about not winning the series whereas Australia will feel that they got aided by some weather elements and timely batting.
